Gourma/War effort: Five motorcycles offered to VDPs in Tapoa province

The regional coordinator of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of the Eastern region, Captain Aboubacar Coulbaly, received on June 1, 2024 in Fada N’Gourma, five ( 05) large displacement motorcycles, offered by the entrepreneur, David Ouali.

The eastern region has been facing a security crisis for several years. This crisis has enormously paralyzed its economy, bereaved several families and caused the massive displacement of a large part of its population.

It is in this context that a son of the region, also an entrepreneur residing in Ouagadougou, David Ouali, came to the aid of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) of the province of Tapoa, by offering them five (05) large displacement motorcycles.

‘It is inconceivable that one would become a refugee in his own country because it has been several years since he set foot in his own village,’ said David Ouali.

He continued that every Burkinabè, every patriot must work to support the highest authorities and the valiant fi
ghters in the fight to reconquer our homeland.

The delivery of this donation saw the presence of the highest administrative, paramilitary and military authorities in the region.

The regional coordinator of the Eastern VDP, Captain Aboubacar Coulbaly, welcomed the donor’s gesture.

‘This donation arrived at a time when the VDP have an enormous need to accomplish their task of reconquering the territory,’ he indicated.

For him, the VDPs also need other means and equipment such as radios to facilitate their communication.

The High Commissioner of Tapoa, René Karambiri, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Ouali and invited the daughters and sons of Gulmu to respond to the call of the President of Faso according to which the fight against terrorism could be the a matter and the prerogative of the armed forces only.
