The Provincial Directorate of Primary and Non-Formal Preschool Education (DPEPPNF) of Gnagna in the Eastern Region held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 in Bogandé, capital of the province, its second session of its board of directors under the chairmanship of its provincial director, Salam Ouédraogo.

This second session for the year 2023, allowed education stakeholders in the province of Gnagna to review preparations for the end-of-year exams. In doing so, the major difficulties were listed and then solutions were identified.

According to the chiefs of the basic education constituency of Gnagna, preparations are going well. Candidates are clearly identified and PV numbers have been assigned to all candidates.

For the 2023 session, the province of Gnagna has a total of 2,881 candidates for the Primary School Certificate (CEP) exam. The staff for the administration of the tests and the secretariat have also been identified.

Among the difficulties, we note the lack of perfect mastery of the new software designed for the examination by the agents in charge of examinations and competitions. Added to this is the lack of work equipment such as computers and printers.

It should also be noted that there is a lack of agents, particularly administrative and management personnel (PAG) in certain basic education districts (CEB).

To overcome certain difficulties, the participants proposed that the training of staff in charge of examinations and competitions be extended to at least two people per CEB.

They also made a plea for the acquisition of certain materials to facilitate the tasks committed to the members of the secretariat of the CEP.

The new reconfiguration of the educational structures of the Ministry of National Education, Literacy and the Promotion of National Languages (MENAPLN) was mentioned by the provincial director of primary and non-formal preschool education of Gnagna, Salam Ouédraogo.

Mr. Ouédraogo invited each educational structure to strictly respect the new organization chart in force at MENAPLN.

The DPEPPNF also congratulated and encouraged the various actors for the efforts made on the ground despite the deleterious security situation. Seizing the opportunity, he urged the Gnagna education actors to redouble their efforts, to show resilience and courage for the smooth running of the end-of-year exams.

As a reminder, the management councils were officially instituted at the MENAPLN with the aim of establishing a wide consultation of the actors around the activities of the DPEPPNF.
