A large number of citizens, including politicians and civil society activists, gathered, Saturday afternoon, outside the French embassy in Tunis, to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and support the Palestinian cause.
The demonstrators called for “a ceasefire” and “an immediate end to the violence in Gaza», criticizing “the position” of Western countries to take real action.
The demonstration comes following the call launched by «the Coordination of Common Action for Palestine» in Tunisia, made up of nearly 20 political parties, associations and trade union organizations.
Protesters chanted slogans calling for the adoption of the bill criminalizing normalization with the Zionist entity.
