Finance bill 2024: Adoption of new article on vehicles intended for use by people with special needs

During a plenary session held Sunday, the Assembly of People’s Representatives (ARP) adopted a proposal for a new article (31) within the framework of the draft finance law 2024, relating to cars for people with disabilities. This article provides for the amendment of the provisions of the new Article 49 of Law 123 of 2001, on vehicles specially designed for the use of persons with physical disabilities.

The new article (31) stipulates that the files relating to the importation of these vehicles, submit ted to the customs services, must be settled before January 1, 2023, in accordance with the conditions in force, with the exemption of the payment of fines.

However, the application of the provisions of this chapter many not give rise to the recovery of sums paid before January 1, 2024.

The plenary session was also marked by the rejection of a number of proposals, in particularly those relating to the non-repayment of 75% of the debts contracted by the community radio stations with the National Radio and T
elevision Corporation.

As a reminder, the ARP on Saturday completed its examination of articles proposed by the government and is considering on Sunday proposals put forward by MPs.
