Engineer Drissa Coulibaly takes office in the Hauts Bassins, a region with 56 mining titles

Ouagadougou: The geology and mining engineer, Drissa Coulibaly, was in his role as regional director of Energy, Mines and Quarries of Hauts Bassins, a region which has 56 titles mining, 160 service stations and two solar power plants.

The Secretary General of the Hauts-Bassins region, Abraham Somdo, installed on behalf of the governor, the Regional Director of Energy, Mines and Quarries (DREMC), Drissa Coulibaly, on Friday April 19, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso , in the presence of the bodies, the ministry delegation from Ouagadougou and parents and friends.

The regional boss of Mines and Energy said he was aware of the extent of the responsibility that falls on him. ‘Our department is dynamic and evolving, which requires a great capacity for adaptation, innovation and commitment,’ said Drissa Coulibaly. He is therefore committed to organizing, managing and administering this Directorate with respect, seriousness and integrity. s displayed his determination to work to guarantee the success and sustainability of this Directorate.

The representative of the governor, Abraham Somdo and the Secretary General (SG) of the Ministry in charge of mines, Doulaye Sanou recalled the circumstances and the urgency of creating regional directorates and their realization through the installation ceremonies.

They invited Mr. Coulibaly to get to work to meet the region’s many challenges, starting by identifying and organizing the actors and their activities on the basis of the regulations in force.
