By a press release dated December 29, 2023, the governor of the Eastern region, Colonel Hubert Yaméogo, banned the use of tricycles, day and night (from Saturday December 30, 2023 to Wednesday January 31, 2024 inclusive). , throughout the regional territory with the exception of the town of Fada N’Gourma within its urban limits taking into account the eleven (11) sectors.
By the same press release, the governor of the Eastern region recalls that the ban on the use of large-capacity motorcycles such as Akoba, SANILI, FORTUNE, still remains in force in accordance with the decrees of June 22 and August 3, 2022 relating to suspension of the importation, marketing and distribution free of charge of the above-mentioned motorcycles.
These measures aim to facilitate the fight against terrorism carr
ied out by the Combatant Forces.
