Dori / Flag Raising: Highlights of August 2025 Recalled by the Secretary General of the Liptako Region


Dori: The constituted bodies of the Liptako region proceeded on Tuesday with the monthly raising of the national colors, in the premises of the regional directorate of animal and fisheries resources. Chaired by the region’s Secretary General, Auguste Kinda, the ceremony provided an opportunity to review the key events of the past month and to strengthen the population’s attachment to republican values. From 7:30 a.m., administrative officials, heads of departments, and citizens gathered at the regional directorate of animal and fisheries resources of the Liptako region to raise the national flag high. The national anthem, Le Ditanye, was sung in chorus by the participants in an atmosphere of respect, contemplation, and patriotism.



According to Burkina Information Agency, following the flag raising, Mr. Kinda took stock of the events that marked the life of the region during the month of August 2025. These include the delivery of a large batch of rolling stock, surveillance and security equipment to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), as well as the provision of agricultural equipment to producers. He also cited the General Assembly on Decentralization, the celebration of World Humanitarian Day 2025, as well as the launch of compulsory patriotic immersion for 433 new high school graduates.



The month was also marked by territorial reconquest operations and secure supply runs carried out by the FDS. In this regard, Mr. Kinda praised their bravery and commitment and expressed the gratitude of the population. During the meeting, the Regional Director of the Environment, Dramane Fogo, announced the availability of seedlings for reforestation activities within the administrative structures. He specified that this reforestation will be subject to monitoring and evaluation.



This monthly ceremony was once again an opportunity to unite energies around civic and patriotic values. It served as an opportunity to recall the security, educational, and environmental challenges, as well as the solidarity and resilience efforts deployed in the Liptako region. Recalling the major events of August 2025, the Secretary General of the Liptako region, Auguste Kinda, invited all stakeholders and populations to continue the momentum of mobilization for the safeguarding and development of Burkina Faso.
