Ouagadougou: The Dj´r´ region claimed the top prize for the best regional stand at the 15th edition of the Ouagadougou International Tourism and Hospitality Show (SITHO), an honor announced during the official closing ceremony held at SIAO this Sunday.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional director of communication, culture, arts, and tourism of Dj´r´, Yamwemba Eve Carole Mariam Raissa, highlighted that the award acknowledged the collaborative efforts of all cultural and tourism stakeholders in Dj´r´. “This award is a source of great pride for our region. Through our stand, we presented in miniature all the cultural and tourist riches that make Dj´r´ unique,” she stated.
She expressed gratitude towards the local authorities, guides, hoteliers, and tourism operators for their dedication, which was crucial in securing this recognition. Additionally, she commended the organizing committee for the event’s quality.
