Bittou: Dakou Dakou FC won the U17 final 3-0 against ZAC FC on Sunday. This competition, organized by the Bittou Youth Association for Sports and Leisure (AJSL), was attended by traditional and administrative authorities.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the Youth Association for Sport and Leisure in Bittou (AJSL), Issouf Zampou, stated that the championship aims to engage young people during the holidays to prevent them from participating in gold panning activities and to deter drug use. The initiative also promotes social cohesion among young people and instills civic-mindedness and patriotism.
The victorious Dakou Dakou FC received a trophy, medals, a set of jerseys, two balls, and a cash prize of 100,000 FCFA. Meanwhile, ZAC FC, the runners-up, were awarded medals, a set of jerseys, two balls, and 50,000 FCFA. The fair-play team was also recognized, receiving a set of jerseys, two balls, and 10,000 FCFA.
Issouf Zampou expressed his satisfaction with the event’s success and extended his gratitude to the authorities for their support.
The U17 championship commenced on August 23, 2025. The final’s opening ceremony was presided over by Houa Kambone, the first Vice-president of the special delegation of the commune of Bittou, representing the president of the special delegation of Bittou. The event was attended by the customary chief of Bittou, Naaba Kibkorgho, administrative authorities, and notable figures from the Nakambe region.
