Council of Ministers: SONABHY, BUMIGEB and CCVA removed from the privatization base

The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE chaired this Thursday the Council of Ministers relocated to Bobo-Dioulasso in the Hauts-Bassins. According to the Minister of State, Government Spokesperson, Jean Emmanuel OUEDRAOGO, the Council examined files and adopted several important reports for the smooth running of the Nation.

On behalf of the Ministry of National Education, Literacy and Promotion of National Languages ??(MENAPLN), the Council adopted a report suspending the transfer of resources to municipalities for the acquisition of food and the minimum school bag .

According to the Minister in charge of Education, Jacques Sosthène DINGARA, this decision follows the difficulties noted in the acquisition and delays in the distribution of food for school canteens and the minimum school bag for the benefit of students.

Thus, by making this decision, the State wants to make a better allocation of food and the minimum school bag. ‘Sovereignly, the government took its responsibili
ties by deciding to suspend the transfer of financial resources to all municipalities, and to proceed with a direct acquisition,’ explained Mr. DINGARA.

The Council also adopted a bill amending the authorization for privatization of companies with participation of public funds on behalf of the Ministry of Industrial Development, Trade, Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprises.

The Minister in charge of Transport, Roland SOMDA explained that the Council proposed the removal of three structures from the privatization base. These are the Burkinabè National Hydrocarbons Company (SONABHY), the Bureau of Mines and Geology of Burkina (BUMIGEB) and the Motor Vehicle Control Center (CCVA).

With this in mind, the Council adopted, under the authority of the Ministry of Transport, Urban Mobility and Road Safety, a report on the resumption of ownership of shares of Burkina Control SA, in the capital of CCVA. ‘Based on the government’s new vision to rebuild the State and reorganize the strategic sectors with a view to a
prosperous and sovereign economy, the council decided to resume the actions which were formerly entrusted to Burkina Control,’ said Roland. SOMDA.

Under the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Foresight, the Council of Ministers decided to create a Center for the promotion of poultry farming and the multiplication of high-performance animals (CPAMAP). The Minister Delegate in charge of animal resources, Amadou DICKO, explained that CPAMAP’s mission is to improve the genetic potential of farmed animals and the development of poultry farming on a national level.
