Council of Guineans of Burkina Faso: A community honored and ready to promote its culture

The Guinean community living in Burkina Faso has welcomed the designation of their country as guest of honor at the 20th edition of the National Culture Week (SNC).

“It is with great joy that we learned of the choice of our country as guest of honour”, rejoiced the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Guineans of Burkina Faso, Mamadou Diallo.

According to Mr. Diallo, the Council is well recognized by the Burkinabè authorities, and through him, the entire Guinean community in Burkina Faso.

A community which has about 17,000 nationals, including about 13,000 in Bobo-Dioulasso.

According to him, the choice of Guinea as guest of honor is a challenge to be taken up by his country but also by the Guinean community living in the land of upright men.

And to promise a good representation of Guinea in the village of the SNC communities.

“Guinea will show its culture there. We will do our best to satisfy our host country, confided the one who has lived in Burkina Faso for more than twenty years.

Mamadou Diallo also called on his compatriots living in Burkina Faso, and particularly in the city of Bobo-Dioulasso, to participate massively in the biennial of culture, in order to hoist the Guinean flag high.

“We must go out in large numbers to show the Burkinabè that we are proud of the honor they have done to our country,” he said.
