This consular initiative is part of the approach of proximity advocated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in line with the Royal High Directions. It aims to ensure the best conditions of reception and transit to Moroccan nationals living abroad, said the consulate in a press release.
This operation, held after the launch of the 2022 Marhaba operation, drew a large number of Moroccan nationals from the Department of Doubs and neighboring regions and benefited over 700 expats.
On the sidelines of this initiative, the Consul General, Mohammed El Hamouli, met with many local elected officials with whom he discussed various aspects of cooperation.
He also met many members of Moroccan associations working in the fields of culture, art and sports, with whom he discussed “ways and means of collaboration to assist our fellow citizens in their administrative procedures, either in Morocco or in France.”
