Citizen Watch Movement Commemorates First Anniversary with Commitment to Security in Nayala


Nayala: The citizen watch movement of the commune of Toma met on Wednesday to commemorate the first year of its commitment to the security and development of the province of Nayala. Through this celebration, artisans, traditional leaders, and local authorities all expressed their desire to continue working together for development and security by participating in the watch at the Toma Nation Square.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General of Nayala Province, Adama Diallo, expressed his satisfaction with the results achieved through the monitoring movements. He congratulated the participants for their mobilization and commitment, emphasizing that the actions taken are essential in a context of growing security threats. “We are building a dynamic of total sovereignty,” he said, calling for perseverance and determination to overcome challenges.



He also addressed the need for increased awareness of security issues. “Monitoring movements have a crucial role to play in alerting authorities to worrying situations and mobilizing the population around security issues,” he said. “Your vigilance is essential in the fight against terrorism,” added the representative of the High Commission, recalling the importance of collaboration between the population and security forces.



For the representative of the artisans of Toma, Ki n©e Par© Rassa, it is necessary to “hold hands to move forward”. She focused her statement on collective action while insisting that the work should not stop after one year, but continue indefinitely for the good of Burkina Faso.



The customary chieftaincy, for its part, stressed the importance of the mission incumbent on everyone in the fight for security and peace before encouraging the participants to continue their work with patriotism. The event was also an opportunity to report on actions carried out by the citizen watch, which include, among others, a march in support of President Ibrahim Traor©, and cleaning initiatives to beautify and secure their environment.
