Koudougou: Young people are massively committed to the ‘Progressive and Popular Revolution’ as the launch of an extensive awareness campaign on the ideals of the movement took place at the provincial high school of Koudougou. The campaign, championed by the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, witnessed significant participation, highlighting a robust youthful commitment.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative was spearheaded by Pema Neya, the mission officer of the President of Faso in the Centre-West region, who successfully mobilized nearly 2,000 students from around twenty schools in the city. Following the morning discussions, several officials expressed their satisfaction and hope for the youth’s support in this new national dynamic.
Bienzi Didier Par©, Regional Director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to engage with the youth. He emphasized the importance of Burkina Faso’s new direction, requiring collective commitment for development. Par© noted the students’ formal commitment to supporting the Head of State’s vision, expressing confidence in the hope that youth involvement brings.
Pema Neya, the campaign’s initiator, utilized the event to directly convey the Head of State’s vision to the young participants. He expressed satisfaction with the students’ engagement and willingness to support the Revolution’s ideals, evidenced by their active participation from morning till noon.
The students also made specific commitments to societal improvement, pledging to act as role models, maintain cleanliness, and challenge deviant behaviors, reflecting a concrete commitment to the Revolution’s principles.
Neya highlighted the critical role of schools in cultivating informed citizens prepared to uphold justice, dignity, and national sovereignty. Meanwhile, D©sir© Yam©ogo, event sponsor and NGO coordinator, shared his motivation rooted in duty and historical continuity, emphasizing the necessity of supporting this movement for Burkina Faso’s future.
The inaugural conference, patronized by Jean Yves Ber©, Acting Governor of the Centre-West region, and sponsored by D©sir© Yam©ogo, marks the beginning of a series of meetings across the region, with upcoming events in Sangui© (R©o), Sissili (L©o), and Ziro (Sapouy).
