Koudougou: The first 2025 session of the Boulkiemd© Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) was held this Thursday in Koudougou, under the chairmanship of High Commissioner Salimata Ou©draogo/Sanou. Bringing together the main players in the province’s development, this meeting was an opportunity to take stock of the activities carried out and to discuss the challenges ahead.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session highlighted the work of several civil society organizations and public administration, as well as the results of the 2025 school exams. Two associations in particular attracted attention. The Songui-Man©gr©/Aide au D©veloppement Endog¨ne (ASMADE) Association, represented by its regional coordinator, Jean Urbain Kombasser©, presented its initiatives in health, education, social protection, and the empowerment of vulnerable groups. The association also works to protect the environment and adapt to climate change.
For its part, the NGO Tout pour Tous Yennenga (ATTOUS-YENNENGA), through its project manager, Drabo Yousouf, presented its actions in the fields of education, the environment, and social cohesion, particularly through vocational training projects for vulnerable young girls in Sabou and Koudougou. The NGO highlighted the positive impact of its programs, which have enabled many beneficiaries to enter the workforce or start their own businesses.
The session was also an opportunity to take stock of the academic results for the year 2025. For the Primary School Certificate (CEP), the provincial director of preschool, primary and non-formal education, Boureima Ou©draogo, announced a success rate of 82.04%, a slight increase of more than two points compared to 2024 (79.88%). He stressed, however, that this result remains below the national average (89.68%), calling for renewed efforts for the future.
In secondary education, the provincial director, Hyacinthe Yam©ogo, presented the figures for the Brevet d’©tudes du premier cycle (BEPC) and the Baccalaur©at. The BEPC pass rate is 47.81%, including 44.57% for girls, representing a 2.24% increase over the previous year. For the Baccalaur©at, the rate is 53.07%, with a 52.28% pass rate for girls, an increase of 2.39% compared to 2024. The provincial director praised the collective work of teachers, school principals, and authorities for these improvements.
Finally, the session addressed the subject of mandatory patriotic immersion for new high school graduates. More than 5,000 high school graduates from the Centre-West region will participate in this program, spread across two sites, one in Koudougou and the other in L©o, starting August 11, 2025. A suggestion was also made to organize a “Day of Excellence” to reward deserving students and dedicated teachers in the province.
