Burkina/Tiébélé: Real Madrid fans clean the Tiébélé Medical Center

Fans of Real Madrid (Spain) from the commune of Tiébélé on Saturday gave a sweep to the Tiébélé Medical Center in the province of Nahouri (nearly 150km south of Ouagadougou ), a few hours before the UEFA Champions League final which pitted their team against Borussia Dortmund, noted an AIB journalist.

Real Madrid fans from the town of Tiébélé, a locality located around thirty kilometers east of Pô, have decided to clean up the town’s medical center (CM) on June 1, 2024.

Gathered within a WhatsApp group, called ‘Real Madrid fans’, took advantage of this day of the Champions League final between their team and Borussia Dortmund to organize a health day for the benefit of the Tiébélé Medical Center in order to to provide a cleaner living environment for users of these places.

According to a member of the group, Atatina Luc Poadaga, contacted by the AIB, the idea of the group is to work to bring together several people in order to carry out actions that have a positive impact on the lives of the populations of
Tiébélé. During this day therefore, a visit of comfort and a small financial support were made to an FC Barcelona fan hospitalized at the CM.

It is an act which, according to Real Madrid fans, shows that beyond footballing differences, solidarity and social ties must remain between the two groups, Madrid and Barcelona.

At the end of this cleaning day, an evening of atmosphere and conviviality is planned after the final. Guests of honor at this evening are the fans of FC Barcelona, their ‘legendary rival’, whatever the result of the final match.

‘Whatever the outcome of the match, whether we win or not, we have to come together. Because we can exchange ideas through this reunion,’ reassured Atatina Luc Poadaga.

At the end of the final, it was Real who mastered their opponent from start to finish to win their 15th title in the history of the C1 by beating Borussia Dortmund by a score of 2 goals to 0.
