Burkina: The new director of military justice commits to playing his role with professionalism


Ouagadougou: The new director of military justice, San Polycarpe Traoré, pledged Thursday in Ouagadougou during his installation, to fully play his role with speed and professionalism.

‘I appreciate the weight of the task that has just been entrusted to me and I understand its complexity, but I have no doubt in any moment about the competence and commitment of the team,’ expressed the director of military justice. , San Polycarpe Traoré following its installation.

The chief of staff of the Ministry of Defense and Veterans Ollo Alain Palé who installed Mr. Traoré, invited all the staff of the military justice department to trust him and provide him with all support, all collaboration and all loyalty necessary to accomplish its missions.

‘We are in a context of the extension of the general mobilization and the warning where military justice is called upon, if necessary, to play a primordial role,’ recalled Mr. Palé.

‘I therefore invite you to quickly take your cues for the effective and efficient functionin
g of military justice,’ Mr. Palé notified San Polycarpe Traoré.

The Director of Military Justice announced in his speech that reforms are planned in all sectors of his institution.

He added that he was aware of the crisis situation the country was going through where the defense forces were at the forefront of the fight to reconquer the national territory.

Mr. Traoré also praised the remarkable work accomplished by his predecessor and his elders in military justice through their commitment, dedication and actions which have shaped the success of the institution.

‘We have learned a lot from you. These lessons, I can assure you, have been well assimilated and will be applied,’ he said.

As a reminder, San Polycarpe Traoré succeeded magistrate lieutenant-colonel Francois Yaméogo who retired in December 2023.
