Burkina: The MDA will sit in the next Transitional Legislative Assembly

Ouagadougou: The Movement for Democracy in Africa (MDA) on Thursday thanked the highest authorities of Burkina Faso for the invitation to choose a representative in the next Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT).

‘The MDA is delighted with the confidence of the highest authorities of Burkina Faso for having invited it to appoint a representative to the ALT.

We are honored by this trust and our representative will be at your side for the victory of Burkina Faso for a return to peace and dignity,’ the party wrote on Thursday on its Facebook page.

As a reminder, following the modification of the Transition Charter, on May 25, 2024, the quotas in the Legislative Assembly of the Transition (ALT) were removed for the ex majority, the ex political opposition, the ex non-aligned opposition and other parties.

From now on, 12 places are reserved for all political groups and movements of all tendencies.

The Movement for Democracy in Africa (MDA) has assured that it will always be present whenever Burkina Faso and
Africa call on it.
