Burkina Faso recorded the creation of more than 10,000 businesses during the first six months of 2024, declared the Minister in charge of trade and industry, Serge Poda , underscoring investor confidence.
‘In terms of business creation in the trade and industry sector, we noted during these first six months of the year the creation of more than 10,000 businesses in Burkina Faso,’ indicated the minister. in charge of trade and industry, Serge Poda.
For Mr. Poda, this situation demonstrates investors’ confidence in the country’s business environment. ‘So there are measures that have been taken by the government to facilitate this business climate,’ he added.
The minister in charge of trade and industry spoke Thursday in Ouagadougou, during the biannual evaluation session of the objective contracts of the various ministries.
At mid-term, the minister in charge of trade and industry displays an execution rate of 62.05% of the objectives assigned by the head of government to this ministerial department.

ding to the minister, the main activities carried out during the first six months of the year concern the strengthening of trade with the fight against fraud and against the high cost of living.
They also concern the development of the industrial sector and the revival of certain industrial units which were in difficulty.
