All these activities were carried out in the presence of the Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, Brigadier General Kassoum Coulibaly, his Secretary General, several elements of the army and the populations of Nagrin.

For the Minister of Defense, whose department is located in the Nagrin district, ‘we must not be there looking at each other through the windows every day as we pass by or raising our hands to greet each other. We must be able to have moments of exchange with the local populations who are around us, to keep this spirit of communion that we, FDS, must have with the local populations whatever the place.’

‘It allows us to understand ourselves better, to know better what we do. We a
re a big family,’ he added.

He explains that the leader (of Nagrin) said that before, they were afraid to go near here. ‘We told them we are here for you. Our doors are wide open. Those who have health problems, instead of going far, can come to us.’

These are moments of awareness for the military. ‘We took advantage of talking to them about communication problems especially. Instead of expressing themselves on social media, they can come and talk to us directly. We are here to assist them. We will make sure that we can get along,’ said the Minister in charge of Defense.

The head of Nagrin said he was satisfied with these meeting moments. ‘We’re happy to be in your class. You regularly send people to exchange with us. We didn’t know it was easy like that. We were afraid but now, no.’
