Burkina Faso Women’s Cycling Team Heads to Cotonou for International Amazon Grand Prix


Cotonou: The Burkina Faso women’s cycling team departed from Ouagadougou on Friday, heading to the Beninese capital of Cotonou to participate in the Grand Prix International des Amazones, as announced by the Burkinabe Cycling Federation (FBC).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the FBC expressed enthusiasm, stating, “The Ladies’ Cycling Stallions are ready!” The team embarked on their journey on Friday morning to compete in the inaugural edition of the Grand Prix International des Amazones de Cotonou. The event is set to take place on the streets of Cotonou, covering a distance of 53.80 kilometers.

The cyclists selected for the competition include Awa Bamogo from USFA, Lamoussa Zoungrana and Adèle Guissou from AS Bessel, and Roukiatou Ouédraogo also from USFA. The team is coached by Seydou Sanfo, who will guide them through the challenges of this international event.
