Burkina Faso expresses ‘its deep compassion’ to Iran, Russia and Palestine

Ouagadougou: Burkina Faso expressed on Monday its deep compassion and solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Russia and Palestine for the painful moments they are experiencing.

‘Our deep compassion, solidarity and sincere condolences to the Iranian, Russian and Palestinian people for the painful moments experienced in their respective countries,’ declared Monday, the Burkinabè Minister of State in charge of Labor, Bassolma Bazié, from the podium of the 112th session of the International Labor Conference, in Geneva, Switzerland.

As a reminder, Iran lost its president Ebrahim Raïssi on May 20, 2024 in a helicopter crash while Russia, in the name of its security, has been waging a war against Ukraine supported by the West since February 2022.

Israeli bombings in Palestinian territories have caused at least 37,000 deaths since October 7, when Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis.

‘We salute, on the one hand, the brotherly Peoples of Mali and Niger with whom we form the Alliance of Sahel States (AES),
and on the other hand, all the Partner States in the world who understand and show solidarity with our people in their fight for their full sovereignty,’ added Minister Bazié.
