The Association of Women Committed to the Homeland (AFEP), on Thursday, in district no. 8 of the city of Ouagadougou, equipped nearly 200 women and young people in entrepreneurship for their empowerment financial.
The Association of Women Committed to the Fatherland (AFEP) organized on Thursday August 8, 2024, in the premises of the town hall of district no. 8 of the city of Ouagadougou, free training in entrepreneurship for the benefit of nearly 200 women and young people.
According to the AFEP coordinator, Aïssata Ilboudo/Cissé, this training aims to stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit of the participants, to provide the necessary tools for the creation or consolidation of already existing businesses.
Ms. Ilboudo also specified that it will make it possible to provide them with a whole universe of possibilities in terms of public or private microfinance, which remains an essential catalyst for a business in progress.
She also indicated that the association will always support the financial empowerment
of women and young people as well as the optimization of their contribution to the economic and social development of the country.
The trainers delegated by the Ministry in charge of Youth, Rabbi Paul Ouédraogo and Sidiki Korgo, provided assistance on entrepreneurship and its management to achieve the set objectives.
Mr. Ouédraogo and Mr. Korgo also encouraged the participants to emphasize the excellence of their various offers, innovation and above all ‘risk-taking’ which are key elements of entrepreneurship.
The president of the special delegation (PDS) of district no. 8 of the city of Ouagadougou, Alidou Congo, congratulated the AFEP for its initiative and encouraged the participants to undertake, wishing them success.
At the end of the training, a certificate was presented in the presence of a representative of the Ministry in charge of Youth.
