Ouagadougou: As part of the activities of the quarter of solidarity of cultural actors, the Northern Coordination office of the National Confederation of Culture (CNC) organized on Saturday April 13 in Ouahigouya, a press conference to unveil its strategy for the success of the event, noted an AIB journalist.
This meeting with the media began with a brief presentation by Germain Ouédraogo, regional coordinator of the National Confederation of Culture, on the structure which was put in place in accordance with the national culture strategy.
It is within the framework of the activities of the solidarity quarter, the closing of which is scheduled for April 19, 2024 at the Martyrs’ Monument of Ouaga 2000 with the organization of “The night of the patriotic surge”, that the Northern coordination of the CNC wanted to discuss the event with media people and other cultural actors.
According to the organizers of the conference which saw the presence of Souleymane Ouédraogo Provincial Director of Culture of Yatenga,
the cultural actors of the Northern region are hard at work to make the event known to the populations and mobilize funds for their contribution to the peace effort through, among other things, advertising spots and communications on local radio stations.
Under the presidency of Issouf Ouédraogo, Governor of the Northern region with the support of regional customary authorities, an artistic night will be organized on Thursday April 18, 2024 in the village hall of the Ouahigouya town hall. This artistic night is intended to be a framework for artistic and cultural expression in support of the transition, the defense and security forces in the fight against terrorism and to bring smiles to orphans and other internally displaced persons, suggested the animators of the conference.
The regional coordination launched an appeal to the populations, cultural actors, culture lovers of Ouahigouya, Séguénéga, Gourcy, Yako, Titao to invest in fundraising for the success of the event in a spirit of resilience and at the
same time materialize their support and commitment to the fight for the total liberation of the national territory.
