Ouagadougou: Captain Ibrahim Traoré announced, in his New Year’s message, to deepen and truly implement presidential initiatives for food self-sufficiency.
‘During 2023, many initiatives have been started,’ said the head of state. He announced that he would deepen and actually implement in 2024 everything that had been started, notably the presidential initiative for food self-sufficiency and also the agro-pastoral offensive of the Ministry of Agriculture. ‘The dry campaign is underway as part of these two initiatives so that we can, during the year 2024, achieve, if not approach, food self-sufficiency,’ indicated Captain Traoré. It’s a challenge, he argued. This is why the president of the transition invited the Burkinabe people to take ownership of these initiatives and to launch themselves everywhere to benefit from the support of the State in order to meet this challenge.
