Burkina: At least a hundred terrorists eliminated in violent fighting in Koulpélogo

Ouagadougou: The rapid intervention battalions in action in Koulpélogo engaged in violent fighting yesterday, Wednesday, with a coalition of terrorists in the Napade area. At least a hundred criminals were killed and around fifty motorcycles, weapons and other materials were recovered by the soldiers, according to security sources contacted by the AIB.

In response to terrorist incursions in the localities of Koulpélogo, Rapid Intervention Battalions (BIR) have launched the cleaning of the province’s forests for several weeks.

This daring operation reached the Eastern region near the Kompienga dam. Cornered, the assassins called for reinforcements from the Kabonga forests and W Park.

It was this coalition of murderers that the Combatant Forces faced on the afternoon of July 31, 2024.

Informed, the air vectors came to provide support to the patriots who had fortunately already taken the advantage over the terrorists.

After a time of observation, the sky fighters launched a powerful missile on a column of k
illers fleeing towards the Kabonga forest with wounded people.

The pilots reserved the same sentence for the survivors who managed to reach the forest. As soon as they parked, the assassins received a large bomb on their heads.

Ground units continued the search and discovered around a hundred corpses of the criminals abandoned at the scene of the battle. In addition, around fifty motorcycles, weapons of various types and other war materials abandoned or destroyed in the fighting were recovered by the Combatant Forces.

The day after this memorable victory, on August 1, 2024, thanks to precise information, air vectors located terrorists installed on the border strip with Mali not far from Boulekessi north of Nassoumbou. Under a hangar which served as a command post, several criminals gathered together.

No time to waste, a missile reduced this group to ashes. Then a second missile targeted a pickup truck, carefully camouflaged under a tree.

According to our sources, operations continue in this sector and el
sewhere.
