Boulgou: The AVORB association of Bittou in an advocacy workshop on malaria

The Association of Widows and Orphans Residents of Bittou (AVORB) organized an advocacy workshop on malaria with a view to obtaining community commitment for the elimination of this disease, on March 22, 2023 in Bittou

This advocacy workshop on malaria organized by the Association of Resident Widows and Orphans of Bittou (AVORB) aims to bring community leaders, local, customary administrative and religious authorities to ensure the effectiveness of measures in favor of of malaria elimination in the Bittou health district.

To achieve this objective, AVORB organized this workshop at Bittou town hall. The opening ceremony was chaired by the General Secretariat of Bittou town hall, Mathieu Guitanga. And the work was presented by the Chief Physician of the Bittou health district, Dr Bourama Ouattara.

The work which took place only on Thursday March 21, 2024 was essentially based on the importance of the fight against malaria, the commitment of the various actors to support the initiatives, the specific actions
to be undertaken to strengthen the fight against malaria.

Thus, each of the participants made a commitment to support the association in fighting effectively against malaria in the commune of Bittou.

This workshop was made possible thanks to the technical and financial support of Speak Up Africa and the technical partner of the Permanent Malaria Secretariat (SP/Palu).

For the president of the AVORB Association of Bittou, Maimouna SAWADOGO, this advocacy workshop with these actors aims to achieve the association’s objectives in the fight against malaria.
