Bogandé: The populations reaffirm their support for the Transition and plead for more security


Ouagadougou: The populations of Bogandé came out in their thousands, Wednesday July 17, 2024, to renew their commitment and support for the transition led by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE and pleaded for more security in their locality, in the face of terrorist abuses, noted the AIB.

Thousands of people mobilized this Wednesday July 17, 2024 in the town of Bogandé, capital of the province of Gnagna to reaffirm their unwavering support for the President of Faso Ibrahim Traoré and the government.

On the occasion, the demonstrators raised a hatter of grievances for more security in the province of Gnagna in general and in the commune of Bogandé in particular.

According to spokesperson Yempani Lankoandé, the demonstrators are demanding, in addition to the security of people and their property, the departure of the high commissioner who has been absent from the province since his appointment and the relief of the commander of BIR 19 who for them has shown his lack of desire to secure the area si
nce his installation.

They strongly recommend the recruitment, training and equipping of VDPs in sufficient numbers as quickly as possible.

‘We express our deep regret for the departure of GUMI 11 from Bogandé which had achieved enormous results before the arrival of the BIR’ he suggested Yempani Lankoandé.

The Provincial Director of the National Police of Gnagna, Commissioner Issa Congo, representing the High Commissioner, accompanied by his closest collaborators received the message from the populations. On occasion, He promised to pass it on to whom it may concern. Then he wished that peace and security would return to Gnagna.
