Ouagadougou: The ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Burkina Faso, Lu Shan, announced Thursday his country’s decision to grant financing of 16 billion CFA francs to the Burkinabe state for the benefit of the populations.

According to Lu Shan, received in audience this July 4, 2024 by the Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, his country will grant 16 billion CFA francs to Burkina Faso which will be able to use it in a project of its choice.

Minister Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, who duly welcomed this gesture, stressed that this financing provides a new positive step forward in bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries.

The Chinese ambassador was at the minister’s house this Tuesday, with a view to ensuring Burkina Faso’s participation in the next China-Africa cooperation forum which will be held in China next September.

This year, this forum will be a presidential summit. For this, the Chinese authorities want the participation of the President of Faso
