Banwa Education District Provides School Supplies to 6,700 Students


Banwa: The Kouka Basic Education District provided its students with school supplies on Monday, October 27, 2025. The Kouka Basic Education District has made a significant contribution by providing school supplies to its students, aiming to support them in the new academic year.



According to Burkina Information Agency, a total of 6,700 students benefited from this initiative. The donation included essential educational materials such as notebooks, pens, slates, pencils, pencil cases, rulers, lesson plans, chalk, protractors, and set squares specifically for teachers. The notebooks are particularly notable for their sturdy covers, which feature images of national heroes.



The inside cover of the notebooks displays moral and civic values that are encouraged to be promoted by teachers. These values serve as a reminder for educators to instill them in their students, emulating the role models of national heroes. Additionally, the reverse side of the cover highlights the agricultural wealth of the nation.



A student from Kouka A school expressed gratitude for the supplies, remarking on the quality and design of the notebooks. The student noted the presence of images of Captain Ibrahim Traore, President of Burkina Faso, alongside other national heroes on the covers. The student emphasized their commitment to good behavior and hard work in order to contribute to the development of the country.
