Balé: Hundreds of people participate in a health day


_: The populations of the town of Boromo cleaned several arteries of the town on the morning of Saturday March 30, 2024. This activity is part of the national day of patriotic and of citizen participation.

Several hundred citizens responded to the call of the special Boromo delegation for a health day marking the national day of patriotic commitment and citizen participation in Boromo, March 30, 2024.

This morning’s citizen action consisted of cleaning the administrative zone, the territorial gendarmerie brigade, the urban CSPS 2, etc. The participants came from several socio-professional sectors.

They were split into four groups for cleaning. For three hours, these citizens removed several piles of plastic waste, dry grass and all kinds of waste in the city.

The spaces visited look great after the sweeps and axes of women’s and youth associations, as well as administrative authorities.

The high commissioner of Balé province, Ibrahim Boly, welcomed the strong mobilization of the populations.

According t
o the provincial authority, never has a community activity mobilized so much in the municipality of Boromo.

He also attributed this success to the commitment of the special delegation, directors and heads of services, the citizen watch movement, as well as the provincial youth council and women’s associations.

‘The patriotic commitment is underway in the Balé, the populations have adhered to the vision of the head of state, Captain Ibrahim Traoré,’ said Mr. Boly.

However, the High Commissioner invited people to extend their civic actions to their clothing and eating habits so that the values of Captain Thomas Sankara’s Revolution can be revived.

According to the president of the special delegation of Boromo, Esaï Bamogo, the strong mobilization of young people and women is insurance for the socio-economic development of the city.

Mr. Bougouma also declared that the initiative will now be a periodic activity in order to sanitize several other spaces in the city.

The cleanliness day ended with the address
of the High Commissioner.

The feeling of pride and patriotic commitment could be seen on their faces despite the heatwave and the fasting period.

The excitement was popular. The people also chanted patriotic slogans before meeting for other initiatives.
