Attempted Storming of Metal Fence in Nador: CNDH Sets Up Fact-Finding Mission

“Mandated by its president, a delegation of the CNDH is conducting a fact-finding mission in the city of Nador and its surroundings, following the tragic and violent events resulting from the attempted passage of hundreds of migrants,” a CNDH statement said.

Through its Regional Commission of the Oriental and its members in Nador, the CNDH said it has followed up on the cross-checked information about the large number of individuals who stormed the fence and viewed a set of videos and photos in circulation “that are not related to the attempted crossing of migrants and contain false information and data” concerning the operation and its aftermath.

This mission includes Mohamed Amarti, coordinator of the mission and president of the Regional Commission for Human Rights (CRDH) of the Oriental, Mohamed Charef, president of the CRDH of Souss-Massa, Abderrafie Hamdi, director of monitoring and protection of human rights at the CNDH, Adil Sehimi, doctor and member of the CRDH of the Oriental, as well as Malika Daoudi, a member of the CRDH of the Oriental, the statement concluded.
