ATCT: 1,493 Tunisians hired abroad as part of technical cooperation in first half of 2024


Tunis: 1,493 Tunisians were hired abroad in the first half of 2024 within the framework of technical cooperation, reads a statement of the Tunisian Technical Cooperation Agency (French: ATCT).

The ATCT received 78 job offers from foreign companies wishing to recruit Tunisian employees. 19 job interviews were carried out, including 12 at the agency’s headquarters, 3 remotely and 4 written tests.

Recruitments in the health sector which had the lion’s share with 650 medical and paramedical executives, followed by the education sector with 171 people recruited, administration 164, industry 125, as well as 136 people recruited in the culture and sports sectors, according to the ATCT.

Germany and Canada ranked first in hiring Tunisian employees during the first half of 2024 with 325 Tunisians recruited in Germany, 325 recruited in Canada and 172 in France.

The number of people recruited from Arab and European countries stands at 364 and 361 respectively, while 59 employees were recruited from African countries
and 15 from international and regional organizations.

As part of triangular cooperation and South-South cooperation, the ATCT sent 13 experts to Jordan and Guinea. It also organized study visits, training sessions and workshops for 94 executives from African and Arab countries.
