Ammar, Algeria’s Attaf discuss bilateral relations and latest developments

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroard met on Sunday with his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf, on the fringes of his participation in the 10th High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa, held on December 17-18 in Algeria’s Oran.

The FM conveyed the President of the Republic’s greetings to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as well as his sincere wishes of further development and prosperity for Algeria.

He also commended Algeria for the excellent organisation of this seminar and the smooth running of its works.

The two FMs reviewed on the occasion, the dynamic and continuous progress characterising the Tunisian-Algerian relations, welcoming the results of the 22nd session of the Tunisia-Algeria High Joint Commission held last October 2-4 in Algiers.

They further pointed to the need to provide mechanisms for implementing the agreed upon actions.

The recent regional and international developments, especially the Palestinian issue and the war on Gaza were also discussed.

The two ministers exchanged views on the ongoing barbaric aggression by the Zionist entity against the defenceless Palestinian people and the deliberate continuation of a systematic genocidal policy targeting the women and children of Gaza.
