African_Games_2024 Alert: Burkina Faso is participating with 15 disciplines


Ouagadougou: Burkina Faso will participate in the 13th African Games in Accra (Ghana), we learned on Wednesday from the Council of Ministers.

The Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment Dr. Boubakar Sawadogo made a communication to the Council relating to Burkina Faso’s participation in the 13th African Games, scheduled for March 8 to 23, 2024 in Accra, Ghana.

The African Games are a multidisciplinary sporting competition which aim to promote high-level African sport and encourage cultural exchanges between Member States of the African Union.

These games are also an opportunity to promote the best sporting talents on the continent.

These 13th African Games, under the theme ‘Living the African Dream’, bring together 54 countries on the continent.

Burkina Faso is registered for these games in 15 sporting disciplines, namely: athletics, badminton, 3×3 basketball, beach volleyball, boxing, cycling, handball, judo, karate do, wrestling. , swimming, rugby, taekwondo, tennis and table tennis
