AES Women’s Alliance appeals to international community

The Alliance of Women of the States of the Sahel, Burkina Faso section held a general assembly on May 4, 2024 in Ouahigouya during which it launched an appeal called ‘Ouayougui boole’ to the International community.

‘We women, united within the Alliance of Women of the States of the Sahel, are aware of our role, our capacities and our power to change the course of history. On this May 4, 2024, we make the commitment to ensure the survival of our nations, the manifest refusal to continue to accept any form of domination and mark our fierce support for the current march of total liberation of our three countries.

This is in substance the appeal launched on May 4, 2024 in Ouahigouya by the Alliance of Women of the States of the Sahel, Burkina Faso section.

According to the spokesperson of the Alliance, Habiba Sawadogo, the women decided to dry their tears to sharpen their weapons, namely the formidable power hidden under their femininity.

‘Throughout the history of humanity, the power of women is undeniable.
Through the Alliance, we will implement strategies and actions to educate and sensitize children and communities in the truth, to an awakening of patriotic consciousness,’ she indicated.

And to continue that they are ready to support the authorities of the three countries because the era of the triumphal march of the whole of Africa has dawned.

This general assembly served as a framework for launching the activities of the Alliance. During this meeting, the women mobilized the sum of eighty-three (83,000 FCFA) thousand CFA francs to support the peace effort.

The Sahel Women’s Alliance is an association that was created in March 2024. And its members affirm their support for the transitions underway in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.
