Sourou: The provincial director in charge of secondary education in Sourou, Joseph Karambiri, toured some of the city’s establishments this Wednesday, marking the first day of the 2025-2026 school year, to galvanize education stakeholders in his province.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Joseph Karambiri, the provincial director of secondary education, vocational and technical training of Sourou, carried out a tour of secondary schools in the city of Tougan to mark the start of the pedagogical and academic year in Burkina Faso.
“This Wednesday, October 1, 2025, marks the effective start of classes in the classrooms. I came to encourage all the stakeholders and ensure the effectiveness of the start of classes and the establishment of the authorities,” Karambiri stated at the first site of the provincial high school of Tougan. He noted that Sourou province achieved good results in the various examinations last year, attributing this success to the commitment and resilience of all stakeholders.
He encouraged stakeholders to maintain their determination for a smooth running of the 2025-2026 school year and to aim for better results at the end of the year. Karambiri urged students to work with discipline, respect the instructions of their teachers and educators, and wished a good school year to all involved.
In addition to the provincial high school, Karambiri visited the general education college (CEG) of Tougan, the municipal high school, the Zizinda high school, the technical high school, and several other establishments in the city of Tougan.
