Bobo-dioulasso: National television journalist Tanga Kafando was appointed as the provisional national coordinator of a network of journalists, influencers, and activists in Sya. This network is tasked with enhancing the visibility of activities conducted by the National Office of Major Projects of Burkina (BN-GPB) within the framework of Presidential Initiatives.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the appointment took place during a 120-hour training workshop on Presidential Initiatives in Bobo-Dioulasso. The participants, comprising journalists, influencers, and activists, selected Kafando to lead the communication efforts regarding the actions of the BN-GPB.
Tanga Kafando expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their trust, emphasizing the network’s role in promoting understanding of the six Presidential Initiatives: community development, agricultural production and food self-sufficiency, sports succession, health, quality education, and the Faso Mªbo initiative. He stated that the network will utilize reports, radio and television broadcasts, and media alerts to achieve this goal.
The newly formed office, consisting of three members, aims to support BN-GPB’s communication efforts on governmental reforms. Kafando assured that they would strive to fulfill their mission with the assistance of the National Office of Major Projects of Burkina Faso and fellow members.
Kafando also mentioned plans to formalize the network to ensure efficient operation. Hortense Tibna, editor-in-chief of Radio Munyu in Banfora, serves as the network’s secretary general, while content creator Delphine Sidbega manages information.
