Bogand©: The second edition of the Bogand© Maracana Vacances, Culture et Sport (BO.VA.CS) 2025 tournament was officially launched on the communal grounds of Sector 2 of Bogand©, in Gnagna, Eastern Region. The opening ceremony, under the honorary presidency of His Majesty Yempaabou, Chief of the Canton of Bogand©, represented by Dean D. Robert Lankoand©, featured speeches, the playing of the national anthem, and the kickoff of the inaugural match.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the opening match saw FC L©gendes de Bantia and FC Jeunes Talents ending in a 1-1 draw. The second match, which was highly anticipated, resulted in a 0-0 draw between the defending champions, FC Calcio, and FC Black Stars de Bantia.
Tournament promoter Juliano Diny©ri expressed gratitude to the partners of the previous edition and called upon supporters to back the current one. He reiterated the tournament’s mission to foster peace, solidarity, and social cohesion among the local youth.
Representatives of the sponsors, Y. Ernest Lankoand© and Mathieu Ouoba, were present, with Ouhambri Ouoba delivering a speech that praised the initiative and encouraged adherence to the tournament’s regulations for an orderly competition.
Dean D. Robert Lankoand©, on behalf of the honorary president of BO.VA.CS, welcomed the initiative and urged fair play among participating teams. He highlighted His Majesty Yempaabou Lankoand©’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote coexistence and peace.
The opening ceremony attracted several local dignitaries, traditional and administrative representatives, and a large audience eager to support the teams.
