Gnassoumadougou Residents Work to Restore Solenzo-Koundougou Road


Gnassoumadougou: The population of the village of Gnassoumadougou mobilized on Friday, August 1 and Saturday, August 2, 2025, to maintain the road damaged by rainwater. Since the water level on the Solenzo-Koundougou section dropped, the High Commissioner of Banwa province, Sanfi©nal© Joseph Sirima, has called on the population to get involved in maintenance work, in order to allow road traffic to resume.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the inhabitants of Gnassoumadougou worked alongside the administrative authorities to fill the potholes with rough stones and fill bags with earth to plant blackcurrants on the road. Dump trucks brought the stones, and the three break points were filled by those present.



The Secretary General of Banwa Province, Abdoul Kader Kong-Zabr©, the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Solenzo, Marou Ilboudo, as well as some provincial directors and heads of services made the trip to participate in this maintenance work on regional road No. 24 linking Solenzo to Koundougou.
