Kourittenga/Raise of national colours: The High Commissioner calls on the population to remain vigilant and on permanent alert


Ouagadougou: The new High Commissioner of the Kourittenga province, Moctar Ilboudo, urged the population on Tuesday, during the flag-raising ceremony, to remain vigilant and on permanent alert.

The constituted bodies of the Kourittenga province met at the agency of the National Electricity Company of Burkina (SONABEL) in Koupèla on the occasion of the traditional monthly raising of the Burkinabe national flag.

In chorus, all the participants performed the national anthem, reaffirming their attachment to the values ??of the nation.

High Commissioner of the province, Moctar Ilboudo, recalled in his message the importance of the traditional monthly raising of the national colors.

He encouraged and congratulated the fighting forces for their commitment to fight against the terrorist hydra and to secure the populations and their property.

“I would like to call on them to strengthen inter-force cohesion and collaboration, on the one hand and on the other hand with the civilian population,” he urged.

For him,
this patriotic act marks an adherence to the principle of respect for the fundamental values ??of the republic.

“The flag is the symbol of our belonging to a common nation and each time we come together to raise our national colours in unison, these are always opportunities to affirm our honour and our pride in belonging to this nation,” declared Moctar Ilboudo.

SOABEL agency head Eric Koudougou was delighted with the honour given to his organisation. Mr Koudougou, on behalf of the staff, expressed his gratitude to the authorities and all the participants.
