President Diomaye Faye asked the National Assembly to examine a bill relating to the abolition of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council and the High Council of Local Authorities.
In a press release dated August 26, 2024, the Senegalese president transmitted to the National Assembly the decree convening legislators for August 29, 2024, with a view to examining the related bill.
