Ouagadougou: The National Development Service (SND) on Friday thanked all the public and private structures that have supported it for forty years, for the implementation of initiatives and policies in favor of being thousands of Burkinabè.
Created on July 18, 1984, the SND is celebrating its 40th anniversary this July 2024. For the occasion, the structure paid tribute, on Friday July 26, 2024, to its partners for their ongoing support.
According to the Director General of the SND, the intendant colonel-major, Mathieu Bénao, his structure, during these 40 years, has been able to forge a solid partnership with Burkinabè youth and constitute with them a real force in the service of development.
‘Today we are celebrating a collective journey marked by challenges met with our various partners,’ said the CEO.
For him, the synergy of action between the SND and its partners has made it possible, over the years, to put in place initiatives that have positively affected the lives of many citizens.
This is why he
welcomed the institutional partners, NGOs and companies that participated in the implementation of SND projects.
‘Together, we have demonstrated that development is not only a question of resources, but also a question of collective will,’ recognized Mathieu Bénao.
Mr. Bénao also invited SND partners to continue working together for inclusive and responsible development in Burkina Faso.
As a sign of recognition, the SND awarded certificates to its former collaborators and its various partners.
The SND, in the implementation of its policy, works with structures such as the Public Treasury, the Commission for Information Technology and Liberties, the Burkinabè National Lottery and the Brasserie du Burkina Faso / Société de Distribution de Boissons (BRAKINA/ SODIBO).
The SND is a compulsory national service of a civic nature and essentially aimed at the socio-economic development of Burkina Faso.
Its objective is to offer young people a framework for participation in the socio-economic development tasks of
the country and to provide basic professional training to those from rural areas or those who have dropped out of school very early.
The SND also works to develop a spirit of initiative and patriotism among young people by instilling in them values ????such as tolerance and solidarity.
