Sufi’ Muslim faithful from the town of Solenzo offered prayers and blessings at the sector 4 mosque for a return of peace to Burkina Faso, Saturday July 27, 2024 in the morning.
For the occasion, women and children were dressed in white, ‘the symbol of peace’.
The different social strata present and representatives of the administrative authorities spoke before the start of the ceremony to express their support for this day of prayers and blessings organized by Cheick Abdoul Karim Tiama.
Before speaking, Sheikh Abdoul Karim Tiama knelt down to ask permission from the Bobo delegation and all the Muslim faithful of Solenzo.
In his opinion, this day is dedicated to invocations and prayer for true peace and tranquility throughout the country.
He also blessed the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) deployed in the theater of operations and to the country’s authorities.
The prayer lasted almost an hour and the organizers have arranged to meet their fait
hful for a sermon in the coming days.
