He underscored that taxes play a crucial financial role, enabling the State to meet its commitments and function effectively.
Tiendrebeogo further explained that during the Tour du Faso, the DGI would be disseminating messages to the public, highlighting that taxation is a matter of sovereignty. He asserted that by paying taxes accurately, citizens contribute to the State’s ability to invest in and develop the nation.
Additionally, Tiendrebeog
o mentioned that the DGI has implemented various platforms to support taxpayers and users. These include SITAB, where individuals can apply for documents online, and i-document, a platform that facilitates obtaining a tax clearance certificate digitally. He noted that a tax clearance certificate is essential for appointment files.
The DGI’s participation in the 36th Tour International du Faso extends beyond awareness-raising, as it also sponsors the sash for the youngest Burkinabe competitor at the finish line of each stage in the competition.
