Namentenga Constituted Bodies Honor Burkina Faso Martyrs


Namentenga: The High Commissioner of Namentenga Province, Adama Conseiga, led a ceremony at the former Boulsa airfield to honor the martyrs of Burkina Faso. The event included provincial dignitaries and the chief of the Boulsa canton, Naaba Sonre.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner emphasized the importance of remembering those who sacrificed their lives for the homeland. A minute of silence was observed by the constituted bodies and provincial leaders in memory of the fallen.



Mr. Conseiga urged attendees to integrate the memory of these sacrifices into daily life, promoting patriotism for the continued prosperity of Burkina Faso. He highlighted the need to remember those who died in key historical events, such as the 2014 popular uprising, the 2015 resistance to a coup attempt, and the 1987 coup d’©tat.



The martyrs’ sacrifices are seen as pivotal in ensuring the nation’s resilience and strength, with the ceremony serving as a reminder of their contributions to national history.
