Ouagadougou: The Minister in charge of Communication, Gilbert Ou©draogo, has officially installed the members of the technical committee responsible for issuing press cards and passes to media personnel. This initiative is aimed at professionalizing and streamlining the press sector in Burkina Faso.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the technical committee’s mission is to enhance the professional standards of the media industry by ensuring the issuance of press cards and passes is conducted transparently and fairly. Minister Ou©draogo emphasized the importance of these documents, noting that they provide essential facilities to media workers in executing their duties effectively.
During the installation ceremony held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, in Ouagadougou, Minister Ou©draogo urged the committee members to uphold impartiality and work diligently. He stressed the need for the process to align with the legal provisions governing the media and communications sector in Burkina Faso. “It is imperative that each member of the committee demonstrates impartiality and diligence so that we can further professionalize this environment in order to meet public expectations,” he remarked.
