Private sector, China Forum and CAN 2025 on the cover of Burkinabe dailies


The Burkinabe newspapers of this Friday, echo the summit of heads of state and government of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing, China, the meeting of the Stallions with the lions of Téranga of Senegal for the first day of the qualifiers for the 2025 African Cup of Nations and the opening of the work of the general states of the private sector.

“Burkina Faso’s private sector: Leading provider of jobs with more than 10.4 million employees,” proclaims the oldest private newspaper in Burkina Faso, L’Observateur Paalga, on its front page.

The private daily newspaper reports that the opening ceremony of the private sector general assembly took place yesterday, Thursday, in Ouagadougou.

According to it, the objective of the meeting is to allow the private sector to take a break, assess the various developments, diagnose its strengths, weaknesses and the opportunities available to it, in order to improve its contribution to the socio-economic development of Burkina Faso.

In the same vein, the publ
ic newspaper Sidwaya maintains that as part of the revitalization of the said sector, the Burkinabe employers were received yesterday, Thursday, at the presidential palace, after an audience, the orientations of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

On the same, the private quotient Le Pays adds that the employers’ delegation had at its side, representatives of friendly employers’ organizations, from the sub-region and Burkinabe businessmen from the diaspora in Côte d’Ivoire and the United States of America.

In another aspect, the state daily Sidwaya informs the Chinese president, Xi Jinping chaired yesterday Thursday in Beijing, the Chinese capital, the summit of heads of state and government of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

According to him, he outlined the new roadmap for cooperation between the two parties over the next 3 years.

The private newspaper Le pays, for its part, notes that as a prelude to the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, a ministerial meeting in which the Minister in cha
rge of Foreign Affairs, Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré took part, was held on Wednesday, September 3, 2024, including the meeting.

the first day of the CAN 2025 qualifiers, L’Observateur Paalga specifies that the Stallions will face the lions of Téranga this Friday, September 6, 2024 at 7 p.m. GMT at the Abdoulaye Wade stadium in Diamniado in Dakar.

The dean of the private dailies notes that the foals must not miss this decisive match in order to maintain all the confidence for the rest of the competition.

And the state daily Sidwaya adds that the Stallions intend to bring back a positive result from Dakar.
