Ouagadougou: Patriotic young people hoist the flag at the High Commission The raising of the flag this Monday in Djibo was marked by a strong symbolic gesture: it was the young patriotic immersed who raised the national flag, under the moved gaze of the authorities and the active forces of the province.
According to Burkina Information Agency, as happens every first Monday of the month, the Djibo High Commission compound hosted the flag-raising ceremony. Defense and security forces, department heads, associations, civic watch leaders, and young people immersed in patriotism all attended this social cohesion event.
After the performance of the national anthem, the High Commissioner praised the resilience of the population and recalled the major actions carried out over the past month. These include the preparation and launch of the patriotic immersion program for young high school graduates, the first 2025 session of the Provincial Food Security Council, as well as awareness-raising sessions on political ideologies.
He also discussed the organization of the Teaching Aptitude Certificate competition and various meetings between prefects and their residents, including the meeting between the Prefect of Kelbo and residents of his commune in Kaya, and the meeting organized by the Prefect of Aribinda on the high cost of basic necessities, and another meeting between the Prefect and residents of his commune in Dori.
The High Commissioner also stressed the importance of everyone remaining in their role, avoiding the dissemination of unverified information, particularly in connection with military operations.
