It is not only a paternity leave of 15 continuous and paid days for the employee whose wife has given birth or obtained the kafala of a child, said Baitas at a press briefing after the weekly Cabinet meeting, adding that it is mainly a question of the emergence of a new vision within society, based on shared responsibility between men and women, to strengthen societal values.
This reform is a “considerable historical achievement”, said the Minister, adding that the extension of paternity leave is the subject of a bill, which will be presented to Parliament for adoption.
